i have a glass top desk, and was gluing with hot glue on it (how dumb can i be) well, i make my own glass cleaner of rubbing alcohol and water...so, i sprayed the glue and it came right off! boy, was i surprised! hope this helps...

WD 40 or Shout Spray in a aerosol can.
I have used both but the Shout Spray has worked wonders.
Just spray it on the adhesive you're trying to remove.
Let it sit for about an hour.
The adhesive then softens and is easily removed.
