Simple DIY Bar Stool Makeover

It's easy to take a basic, $15 wooden barstool and make it over with paint and stain to look like it cost a lot more!
With wood floors and wood counters, the all-wood stools at our breakfast bar had to go - and the black bases now provide a much needed breather from all the wood.See all the steps and details here: http://www.anoregoncottage.com/simple-bar-stool-makeover/
A $15 stool gets an easy makeover
Before: the stool's glossy, reddish finish clashed with our newly redone floors and counters.
Stripping, sanding, painting, staining, and sealing.
The stools look great now with the wood floors and counters!

These turned out great! I have these exact stools but was hoping to get them down to bare wood, see how they look and maybe not even paint or stain. What stripper did you use? I've only used citristrip before. Thank you!
