slip on rubber tips will work.
There are heavy plastic tips you can get at Home Depot and Lowe's. You have to nail them in and they will pick up cat hair too. They will however protect the bottoms of your chairs and your floors. I have them on everything including my antique pieces.

check at a staples type store. they sell glide disks for furniture moving. silicone bottoms, rubber-ish interior. i've had 4 cats in the house and no fur build up on the glides.
