Hi, my countertops are concrete but I would like to redo the whole thing in wood. Could you give any ideas on how to fasten the wooden slabs to the surface? Thanks!

Adding wood of any durable thickness would really add some height. I would pull the concrete and start fresh. That is what i did for this client, but rather than wood I used large format granite tiles

I recently did insulation in my basement with 1x4 wood to create framing to put insulation in . I bought glue that bonds wood to concrete. The other thing you could do if you ever want to remove your new counter top fairly easily is use thin pieces of plywood that you could just drill and attach them to your surface then put your new counter top product on top of that with wood glue then if you ever wanted to remove or change it would be a lot easier.

    Drill right in. Carefully.
