Abedabun Dawn on Oct 03, 2016I put a small bowl of water in the microwave on high for one minute. Then I use one part alcohol and one part water and wash with a soft cloth. The salesman where I bought my microwave suggested this method.

Lemon oil- furniture polish. Put on cloth and wipe stainless steel in the direction of the grain, then up and down and back and forth. Let sit for an hour, for the oil to get and soak into the grains of the stainless steel. Come back later and buff to shine. Cheap and does a beautiful job.
Another way is to buy Champion Stainless Steel Cleaner. They make this in water soluble. It is the VERY BEST stainless steel cleaner out there. I clean houses for a living- 24 yrs cleaning high end residential homes and I use this daily on SUB-ZERO APPLIANCES >> https://www.ebay.com/i/262942930268?chn=ps&dispctrl=1
Dogs DO NOT lick this stuff. I have used every stainless steel cleaner out there and nothing beats Champion, nothing!!! I buy it buy the case on Ebay, it is way cheaper this way. 1 large can will last you about a yr.
