If the fabric cover is removable, You can use carbon paper under the flower pattern and trace it over some paper. Use a pen, not engaged, over the pattern. You don't want ink on the fabric. You can also use a dull skewer stick, knitting needle or similar to trace. Then use the paper pattern, carbon paper, and trace the pattern onto the shade. If the fabric is not removable, use tracing paper over the pattern and copy the pattern onto the tracing paper. Then use the tracing paper, carbon paper, and trace the pattern onto the shade.
Thanks so much for your response! I was also thinking of doing it that way but was hoping for some "high tech" method of taking a photo, enlarging the section of design I want to copy and projecting onto the shade (not a smooth fabric unfortunately) I am also laughing about the use of carbon paper. Not too many folks these days even know what that is, let alone have any "lurking" in a supply cabinet as I have. LOL
