I think that it can actually look nice even if you only curtain the window itself, on that one side, and hang something of similar size on the other side (like a framed photo or art, around the size of the curtain)
I agree with Cori. It would look fine with any art/wall hanging on the blank wall.
Mimic the window with a lightbox for a balanced look - maybe with a shelf/headboard spanning the two. Or scatter various size objects all over the wall for a free-form look. A picture will help.
