you may want to describe it better. how thick is the panel some are painted on without mush depth others a quarter inch thick what is it made of would help. if it is plastic you need to be careful not to use products with protonium solvent in them.

Ways To Paint Brick
I have a nice large mirror on mine.
Paint it. White looks nice. The texture is what you'll see rather than the colors. You can put anything with white. Almost nothing with brick.
If you're asking how you can hang things on it, check out brick clips. You didn't say if you're renting or buying, or if the paneling is textured or simply a print of bricks. Those facts would make a big difference.
if it is true brick get the self stick tabs and put up light wetght items...posters..wicker things of that nature...if just paneling paint it out up anything
