You can add hooks to your closet doors and hang them up!
welcome
I use a tie rack to hang mine on. Get a couple tie racks. Put the ones you use more frequently on 1 of the tie racks.
Find a board to be placed inside your closet, from floor to ceiling. Glue on pegs for hooks. Plenty of room to hook on your handbags. Good luck!
30 wow! OK first regardless if leather or not fill them with paper to not lose shape and each one is in a breathable bag for dust. Now you may want to display some in a hutch, clearly anyone who knows you would not find this weird. Or buy a curio cabinet for bedroom and display them there. The important thing is that you make sure that if you display them that you plump them up so that they can be admired. You're my kind of girl, I'm scared to even ask about shoes. Hahaha I just think that surrounding yourself with things you love is important.
I have 3 small crates top shelf of closet for handbags
I use over the door hooks. Get some with 3 or 4 hooks .
I use shower curtain rings to hang mine. I have a 2 shelves in my walkin closet and put the rings around the bottom shelf and put the handles of each bag on the ring so they hang nicely there. You could also find some spare closet space and put up a curtain rod of sorts using curtain rod brackets and a pvc pipe/conduit pipe or an actual curtain rod. Then add your shower curtain rings and hang them that way.
I have a fair number of designer leather hand bags and I don't like to hang them because hanging can affect the handles and straps. I added an extra shelf in my closet and line them up there. Most of my bags came with drawstring dust bags. If they don't, I make up a bag with scrap material. I get labels with strings at the office supply and label each bag so I don't have to open the bags every time I want a different handbag. I keep and reuse the paper stuffing to keep the handbags plumped, but when it wears out I use the air-filled packing bubbles that often come in shipments from online and catalog retailers. Now for shoes.... maybe another time.
...dump half of them; store them one inside the other...
I use something that works well for me. I have a bentwood coat rack from the eighties. I hang the current bags on the arms of that and store the off season in a big drawer or could be under bed storage. My dressy bags I wrap in tissue and put in a small drawer near my jewelry drawer.
I store my excess or off season handbags in an underbed storeage container. (Available at Amazon.com) I have two of them and also store my off season scarves, gloves, hats, and boots. This way I know exactly where they are when the weather changes & can then just update the contents, store the summer and use the winter.
