Can you paint over chalk paint?

I painted a room with chaulk paint, since it was dark paneling, and I didn't want to sand. It didn't totally cover, so I am wondering if I can use regular paint over it?

If you haven't waxed over it, then it should be no problem!

Yes, or try another coat of chalk paint on a small area to see if it helps. The darker the color, the better the coverage. Pure White usually needs more coats because it has less pigment. For dark wood, I would guess it will need three coats of chalk paint if the paint is a light color. I've painted even oil based paint over chalk paint without a problem. It's not a bad primer
