How to clean fiberglass tub/shower enclosure
Thank you all !
Hi, it's a homemade solution, but I swear by it. Heat I cup of vinegar in microwave for one minute, stir in one cup of dawn dish soap. Spray on and rub lightly and let sit for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. I promise you will be amazed! I have six kids and a fiberglass shower I wanted to throw away, but now it shines like new! And I had tried everything!
I use Kaboom. Comes out purple, and when it turns white, wipe soap scum away.
Thank you Lori Kelly.
Instructions that came with my fiberglass tubs and sinks said not to use anything with bleach or peroxide, to check the ingredients of cleaners. Bleach and peroxide will remove the shine and leave your surface dull and more porous, attracting dirt. So I found Scrub Free. It works really well. More recently, I found CRL Bath and Kitchen cleaner...also a good one. I found out the hard way that even the peroxide in some toothpaste will leave its mark around the sink drain...dang it! I've seen demos for Kaboom, but it looks to me like they're using it on ceramic tile, not fiberglass.
I like a softscrub like Vim; but if you use a shower/bath gel instead of soap, you will have less cleanup to do.
goof off rust stain remover for the bathroom- its made for fiberglass tubs and showers. clr bath and kitchen works okay, but i can't stand the perfume/smell of the stuff
Go to an RV store, they have all kinds of cleaners and waxes designed for fiberglass. Fiberglass is not painted, but has a product called gel coat for the finish coat. It requires specific cleaners and polishes.

The plumbing co. that installed my Fiberglass tub recommended Bon Ami which is easy to get at most home supply and food stores.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works the best and easiest!
Magic Eraser will take the finish off your tub. If you read the label they caution you against using it on many such surfaces
