Question about working with oilcloth

Oilcloth, while very sturdy, and a good barrier against water, is pretty stiff, and I would be leary of using it for a sink skirt, especially if you want it to have small pleats which will lay nicely. There are some attractive shower curtains that you might consider. You might coordinate the skirt with matching window and/or shower curtains.

Oilcloth is great for a picnic table, etc. 'I' just wouldn't expect much cooperation from it for a sink skirt. Hope your project becomes exactly what you desire. : )

I agree, way too stiff for nice looking pleating, or to drape nicely. Blessings! The above post actually uses a retro sink skirt.
