LED XMas Tree - Lessons Learned

I got to say I was really looking forward to cutting down our own tree this year, but being in an apartment & all those associated headaches we opted instead to go with an LED tree instead. We watched a few videos & went, ahh this easy enough...
Well while the videos make it look super easy, we found a few gotchas & wish to share our lessons learned. We grabbed 3 strings of LED lights - 2 white for the tree, 1 Blue for the lights / decorations - which we recommend over the others due to energy use & heat produced. We also grabbed a pack of medium sized "command" style hooks (should have went with all large & so glad we didn't go with the smalls.
For layout, I got to say we winged it & only had to reposition the blue lights a little - if you wish for more symmetry I would recommend using a level & a chalk pencil for marking locations. Ours is about 6' tall around 3.5' wide & 16" off the ground for all those presents. The final little hint is make sure you angle the hooks based on the shape of the tree, it does help.
I hope this helps you if you wish to try this & Merry Christmas everyone
