I love painted canning jars. I use them for all sorts of goodies.
My mom would be wondering why the heck I was ruining good canning jars.
The small wide mouth quart jars are my favorite.

I painted them inside and out with a bonding primer. Dry, sanded and repeated twice.
My hubby built me this small wood caddy from scrap wood.

I used cute little knobs from Hobby Lobby

I used a stencil to create the 3-D lettering and graphics. After the lettering was hardened, I sanded them a bit.

I painted the outside of the box with my chalk paints, then sanded the edges back.

Then inside of the caddy is decoupaged with pretty pink and red papers. When they were dry I used a poly to protect the surfaces.
I used my custom chalk paints to paint each jar a slightly different color from pink to red.

Tie with a raffia bow and wa la a pretty little container for Valentines.

Happy Heart Day to you and yours.

Thanks for visiting.
