1) Sponge down with Dawn and hot water
2) lightly rub stubborn traces with 0000 grade steel wool
3) windex wipe
all done

How To Clean Your Ceramic Stovetop
i used Ceramabrite on my smooth top and it worked great. It usually comes with a razor wrapped in a plastic encasement that you can use to scrape off burned on food. Follow the directions and your smooth top will look great. Ceramabrite can be purchased at Lowe's.
I wet a washcloth and put a few drops of dish soap on it. Then I squeeze over the burned area and let it sit while I finish the rest of the kitchen cleanup. Then I use scraper that has a razor blade in it. Cleans up beautifully.
I use oven cleaner
I use Cook Top Cleaning Creme and it has kept my 16 year old stove looking like new. I bought it at Amazon. I've also used it on Formica when I couldn't remove a stain from rust. If there is a lot of build up I first use the razor to remove it.
I use baking soda made into a paste after as Sherrie said scraped with a SHARP razor blade. I usually use a windex product with the baking soda and rub it around with my fingers to cover the area, Let it sit a bit then wipe off and then finish off with the all surface windex and buff with micro cloth. I have a relatively new stove and I am very particular with it,
