I agree that perfection is overrated! I have had so many painting project fails - but because it is paint, you can always recover! Great recovery!
I think I love the end result even more than your original intent, thank you for sharing your story
This is gorgeous! Turned out great. Awesome taping and design job! Seems like most of my best projects are done this way! :)
Yes, thank you for. Sharing! 😊
Great save! Think I would have done the same thing. Fun to embrace the "hmm, what happened here, let's see how it will turn out anyway" projects. I love it and think it adds character. Thanks for sharing!👍
If you like it that is the main purpose! The only way you could have got the other look is to lightly sand those those areas you wanted to paint.Used to have my moms dresser like that.Do not know where it is now!
Live and learn. you probably could have purchased the same piece in real wood at a garage sale or in a second hand store for not much more than you paid. Real wood even scratched up and ugly is always preferable to compressed crap you buy at Target, Walmart etc. it is what it is.
Sounds like my "grape jelly" which turned out grape syrup.
You actually ended up with an awesome piece - amazing recovery! Thank you for sharing this :)
My goodness! Way to forge ahead. I'm not really down with "go buy something else." I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the result of your work in pressing forward! What a great job AND it looks PERFECT where you put it! Especially with that frame above it! Way to go! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing!
It looks like it was meant to be that way! That's all that counts!! Great looking dresser! The next time you paint it, sand it lightly first, and clean off the sawdust then paint. Should adhere much better to any shiny surface. Thank you for sharing, btw!
Totally love the end result of how this turned out. I totally get what you are talking about. You get something in your head on how you want the project to look like and when all is said and done, the finished product looks amazing. This looks awesome...love it!
love this! Sometimes things turn out cooler on accident 🙂
