thank you great ideas
You can hang your paper towels on a wall or under the cabinets. Here are some ideas:

I got tired of my clunky knife block and got a magnetic strip just for knives. I attached it to my wall and put my knives on it. Works great. Or if you have a drawer that is deep enough, you can lay the knife block on its back and place it in the drawer. Get a paper towel holder and put it on the wall or under your cabinet.
You could put your paper towels on the inside of the door under your sink. The knives can go in a drawer. You can cut a piece of wood in such a way as to hold them in place, cut side down. Another thing you could do is cut a slit in your formica in the back________________ like this line, just wide enough to hold the blades. Kitchen drawers don't go all the way to the back, so they won't interfere with each other.
They sell items to place knives in drawer think of it as a flat knife holder made of wood. I go through so many paper towels a day so mine will always stay on counter, I agree with the idea of placing them in cabinet under sink.
