That is so pretty! My neighbors who have water features normally shut them off and disconnect the pump for winter, I guess that isn't necessary?

No, Dee, one thing you have to be careful of in the winter, though is keeping enough water in it. With sprinklers turned off, there is no longer an automatic water feed and the ice sculptures often reach outside the feature and when they melt, the water leaves the basin. But yes, tell them to keep it running if they can see and enjoy it!
