Seems a better fix than mine. I take that strong clear package tape and fold over the end where it is broken, making sure to make thick enough of a layer to hang securely on the hanger dealy it attaches to. Eventually, though, time causes it to fall again. I like this fix of yours better. Clever!
This is brilliant! I hate when that happens!
I've done this many times, its a great fix and they are fairly easy to cut. I haven't found a fix for the other end except taping white paper over the broken hole so it is not so noticeable if it can't be cut because a short one would really stick out. Or move it to the end where it would be less noticeable.
That is exactly what I do!!! Works great!
I was using heavy tape and a hole punch until my mate found metal sleeves online. (Pretty cheap too) Just place the sleeve at the broken end and it's a NEW end.
We've put these sleeves on all vertical vanes. No more falling! Like new.
Of course, I've got cornices to cover the metal.

I really love this idea. Broken blinds are a constant with kids and pets.
What pray tell do you do if the hook has broken away?? Please help.
There is always DUCT tape...LOL
Excellent!! I'll try it tonight!
I have used this method for years. I need to know where I can find the brace at the top. One of mine broke off and I cannot find the clip anywhere.
