How to redo a glass table top?
It's just a piece of glass on a bamboo table. I'm tired of cleaning the glass.
Fill the chip in with wood putty. Allow to dry .It appears the table is Laminate so you will have to lightly sand, apply a primer, allow to dry, paint and seal with a polycrylic.
You can use a wood filler https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Repairing-Chipped-Wood.php Good luck!
I love to use Annie Sloan chalk paint. It comes in a beautiful palette of colours. No sanding required! The wood filler will be concealed too!
My friend builds all sorts of furniture and she loves using chalk paint. Says she won't use anything else. I'm still old school. I use a palm sander with fine grit and sand just enough to get to the stains and small scratches then I stain. I have a cherry stain that I used on an antique end table, let it dry and put a very light coat of polycrylic or polyurethane on it and it wasn't evenly coated. Let it dry and put a very light coat of black stain over it and wiped of where I really wanted the cherry to show thru. Looks Awesome! Looks like it's more black until the light hits it. Stain won't hide wood fillers, tho. Chalk paint will.
Elmers makes a great wood filler that will stain. Palm sander for sure. Close your eyes and run your hand over the surface to feel if smooth. have fun
