Bathroom makeover help
Not knowing what your bathroom looks like, I can only show you what I did to mine. My bathroom is tiny and has the typical 50's tile 4 ft up the wall and the entire shower. The sink and vanity was probably updated at some point but was like a pressed board and falling apart. I wanted to take the tile off, but being so old, the wall was coming with it. So, I bought glass peel and stick wall tile and left the original blue tile as the trim. Then I paired it with a white scroll wall paper for the top. I changed out the lights for a little bling and installed a narrow sink. Hope this helps! :)
The easiest change would be updating the towels, shower curtain, rug, etc. Start by giving the room a good cleaning...wipe down walls, scrub the shower/tub, wash the floor etc. Go through your products and toss and replace things that are expired or not usable. Declutter countertops if possible and coral items in pretty baskets or containers. Good luck!
really need a pic to be helpful, but things said above are good as well as possibly paint, replace hardware on cabinets, etc. please post pics
Well do you want to gut it or just refresh it, if it's the later paint is the easiest way to get a change for little money and everything stays where it is so no dust from construction. Then I would update hardware. I like white towels that can be bleached so if you have them then just add a picture and soap dispenser to finish. Depending on your budget and type of flooring you may want to replace if vinyl tiles if if ceramic and in good condition live with them, then do you you tiles in a shower/tub area and what color are they? Are they in good condition then leave them if the have mold just clean them up then replace the caulk and grout. Many sites can help you out if your not sure how to do it on your own. Also is this a master bedroom space or is it the only one in your home? That would be helpful to know as well as size of space you are dealing with and why you want a change? Something in there is bothering you try to figure that out and if possible change it. You need to feel comfortable in your space so are you just tired of decor or is it something else?
