try using a small amount of WD40 to lubricate it, rub it on a tissue to transfer so that you don't get too much on and make the area greasy. Good luck!
Try Un-Glue. Used in art work. Walmart and Amazon carries it.
this might sound crazy, but have you tried freezing it? 2 different materials contract at different rates,
try using a hairdryer
Put a pot of boiling water on the stove ,with a lid. When the water is putting off steam hold the picture and the glass over the steaming pot with the picture side down . Hold it there for a few minutes until it steams the glass enough to remove the picture.
Thanks Hillela. Will get the WD40.
Thanks DFM. Am scared of freezing these are very very old photos with precious memories. When all else fails I will certainly take this into account. Cheers.
Thanks Laura. The hairdryer actually worked. Thanks big time.
Try damping one small area w a paper towel. If they are very old they have a high rag content, like cloth. Gently wetting it won't hurt it. If it's an old Polaroid the emulsion may come off the paper backing. If it's newer, since 1960, it's on plastic, not a paper backing . These can survive getting wet but the color is very unstable.
