My stove vent was still an out of date beige but I did not have the cash to buy a new one. It still worked just fine but I wanted it to coordinate with my kitchen appliances. I priced them new and Yousa-way outside my budget! At first I thought I would have it repainted by an automotive paint shop but even then I would have to drive more than an hour to deliver and again to pick the vent up. Then I discovered that Lowe's sells a special Rust-O-Leum black and white appliance paint, for just $3.99 a can. This vent was removed, sanded and resprayed. It now looks like new!
Remove the vent and dismantle the electicity.

I found it at Menard's, a Michigan big box store. We degreased, sand blasted and painted it using the Rust-O-Leum Appliance spray paint and it looks like new!
