Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Apr 15, 2011Hello again, Yes, you should be ok with that. Just keep mindful of your budget, it can be easy to surpass it. Spend some time planning and shopping around for the best deals. Speak with a few different contractors about your project.Helpful Reply

Design & Building Concepts,LLC on Apr 16, 2011You might want to be sure that the walls that you are thinking about moving are non bearing. If they are bearing you could add a bit more that you didn't plan on for the budget to provide someway of supporting what needs to be held up.Helpful Reply

DONNA on Apr 16, 2011Matt... the question I have is are you doing the work yourself or is someone else doing it? If you are doing it yourself then you are cutting out the "labor" charge. Most of the time, contractors charge per fixture in a bathroom; as well as hourly additions. Make sure if you are hiring a contractor that you get EVERYTHING spelled out on paper. It can easily change into 'CUSTOM" work (which adds up fast if you are not careful). Also, shop around for your fixtures. Just because you find something at a home improvement store does not mean that it is the best price on it. Find out the vendor and model number, then utilize other location web sites (again utilize the web). Also, if you find something that is inexpensive, make sure that it is made out of "solid" materials (metal, wood, etc.) and that repair parts (if needed) or not too expensive and are easy to find. Food for thought and good luck.Helpful Reply

Holden Handymen Inc on Apr 16, 2011Contractors here in Orlando give you an estimate on the total work. Only work you add and unexpected work is charged by the hour. The hourly rate is agreed on and signed by contract from both parties.Helpful Reply
