What is the cabinet made out of?
Yes you can!! I recommend using either an oil based paint or a chalk paint so that it will cover up any finishes already on your cabinets. Chalk paint is easier to work with and requires less work and great results. Have fun!!
Depends on the material.Photos please or a proper description of the materials!
Chalk paint will cover anything. If the surface is slick Id recommend giving it a light sanding first to rough it up some otherwise it can take a few coats of paint to completely cover and chalk paint is expensive. However, there are paints that cost much less and give the same result as chalk paint. Ask your local store what they have for easy coverage with the look of chalk paint. Whatever you use make sure you finish it with a chalked protective top coat .
