Prep by pouring a few cups of boiled water down the drain, then follow with half a cup of vinegar and baking soda. Let it sit for 5 minutes and follow with a few more cups of boiled water. Good luck!
Get a flexible plumber's snake. You will be glad to have it in your house.
I also use vinegar and baking soda. Use a wet paper towel and cover the overflow. Pour about half a box of baking soda down the drain. Pour vinegar down the drain and quickly cover the drain with a cloth. The pressure will push the clog through.
When hair starts to slow down the tub drain, I unscrew the grate thing pour 1/2c baking soda and a tsp of dawn liquid down there followed by a cup of heated white vinegar. Wait till the volcano action subsides and rinse w hot water.
Thanks everyone!!
Wal Mart & Home Depot sell the skinny plastic gadgets for getting hair out of a drain. The plastic has several little hooks on each side. You push it down in the drain, then pull it back out. It's yucky, but it works. Keep repeating until no more hair comes out. Pouring boiling water down the drain afterwards would probably help too.
