Roll them up… then off and then roll them back down and dip and soak in the tub.
I love this- using tongs
I use the 360 degree swifter works great.
It may take some time and effort initially but hand wipe each slat and then keep up the regular maintenance. Unless you're prepared to toss them out and possibly have to replace them I would never suggest soaking blinds in the tub as any dust will immediately turn to dirt and you'll have a bigger mess on your hands.
Love the tongs idea, but I would use fabric softener sheets, which is what I do weekly. Will have to try the tongs. Dust will cling to the softener sheets and also repels dust. Monthly I remove the blinds, hang them in the shower, spray them with a cleaner ( I use 50/50 vinegar and water, a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid), use a fiber duster to scrub, then rinse with a hand held shower sprayer.
thanks for the great ideas! tried the tongs one, didnt work, so will probably have to break down and do the manual thing, then like you said, keep it up, thanks again everyone!
I used to take them down and hang them on the CLOTHES LINE. Then use the hose on them and then wipe them down, but leave them to dry on the line. But I don't think you have clotheslines outside do you? Fresh air and sunshine kills bacteria and fungus spores. 🤓
I vacuum with the little soft brush; both sides...sooo much easier/faster!
