Easy DIY Deer Silhouette

I have seen a lot of deer silhouette pictures and art around and a lot of it is very expensive. I decided to try to make one of my own without spending tons of money. I did it without spending any money! FREE!
This is what I did: After Hubby cut a foot board in half to make the bench I posted abouthere, we had a left over piece of wood that I thought was a great shape to do something with. That something was a deer silhouette.
I painted the wood a soft brown color. Then, I printed a deer silhouette from the computer, cut it out and traced it on a piece of green striped scrapbook paper.
I used a Modge Podge technique to put the silhouette on the wood. I mixed white glue with enough water to make it spreadable with a paint brush. I painted the glue mixture on the wood and put the striped silhouette on it.
I smoothed out all of the little air bubbles and after it had a chance to set for a few minutes, I painted the glue mixture on top of the silhouette.
I put the glue on top three times – letting it dry after each time.
This is a perfect little piece for the Christmas/winter season and it was SUPER SIMPLE and FREE to make.
