Burlap Garland and Christmas Mantel
Sometimes it takes awhile to come up with a Christmas mantel. Unlike you may think, it doesn't always come naturally on the first try. In fact, I think this is the 4th..and hopefully final...one of the year. I decided to add some garland to it in the form of burlap ribbon which completed the look. I also made the stocking and the wreath. I added a little bit of glam to with the glass and little woodsiness with the pine cones.
I tried a smaller wreath here, but the bigger one made the look perfect
I also changed out the bookshelves and put some backward facing books to make this corner a little more cozy

The stockings are homemade...they look like real stockings...or so the hubs says :)
