How to Paint Laminate
Clean them, remove hardware and doors, lightly sand, prime, paint - put hardware back on (or buy new hardware) and install doors back on the cabinets.
You definitely can! I always love suggesting chalkpaint because it cuts out the need to prime and it works great! But you still need to clean them thoroughly!

Chalk paint over latex on laminate
I would suggest that you have new doors made. The cost of paint and materials is not much less. I have done this before with all kinds of products and eventually it chips and you are left with a bigger mess to fix. Remember that laminate is just a plastic covering over pressed wood.
