Yeah make sure the computer is turned off. I use a soft paint brush to get any particles out over a garbage pail/can.

Turn it upside down and give it a good shake. You'll be surprised at everything that comes out of it.

That's what I use. They sell them in the computer stores. They are mini vacuum cleaners.

You can buy a can of just air. You use it like hair spray can. It blows all debris out of the keys. Offices use it.

Used to do computer service and repair. Turn off your pc (less chance of static problems) grab the vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment and do a quick vacuum. Then grab the keyboard by the ends and flip it over, aggressively shake the thing left right, top bottom etc, stand it on edge and bounce the corners gently on a hard surface, like you were shaking a steering wheel left to right, turn it upside down again and shake the daylights out of it again. You might be surprised how much stuff comes out it.

I did this for my wireless keyboard. Worked Great! Turn off your PC to be safe. Turn over the keyboard and unscrew the screws. remove the back side of the keyboard holding the electronics inside the keyboard. There is a light rubber protector over the electronics. Gently brush this off with a soft brush. Using canned air, blow the bottom out to remove anything that is in the electronics area. Turn over the top section. for my wireless keyboard, there are no electronics in it at all, so I washed it with soap and water and a soft brush. dried it well. Reattached it to the back and re-booted my computer. Works like a champ and is clean as a whistle.

Crumbs? After you take all these suggestions, my first thought was not to eat over the computer.

Sounds funny, but Playdo! Just form it into the shape needed and press between keys, everything just sticks to it. Just throw that piece away and use a fresh piece for the next section. Works great to get old dust and dirt from corners and window sills.

I purchased a keyboard from Amazon a few years ago and it wasn't expensive. It can be washed under water with soap and a scrub brush. It is a life saver!! I have kids with sticky fingers.LOL

AFTER, the vacuuming, et al...take a 'Post-it' & turn it so the 'sticky-part' is OUT...& run-it-along between the rows, etc...just to get what the vacuum didn't/couldn't...

Use your vacuum or an old make-up brush works as well to get in between the keys.

They have computer vacuums for that job. It just blows air & should be able to get the job done.
