Egg shells work amazingly
I rotate giving each plant my cold, leftover black coffee each day. They all seem to love it altho I do not depend on it solely as plant food. I also use a mix from our local plant store that seems to my untrained eye to only contain nature ingredients. I can't remember the name and am on vacation for the next few weeks so I am not at home to see what the name is. I did read one time that egg shells soaked in water did not supply anything useful for plants BUT have learned not to trust everything I read.
Coffee is a great nitrogen source. Epsom salt is a salt...you don't want too much salts depositing in your plant soil...monthly 1 T : gal water 1x monthly only.
You can get neptunes fish fertilizer and make a very dilute mix 1x monthly. Dilused correctly, it's not a big deal..but your pets will want to dig if plants are not out of reach.
