can you post a photo?
Yes!!!
Oooooh I love that idea!!
great idea! Would add symmetry to the walls and have the eye look at the room as a whole.
A photo would be nice also, what is board and batten?
Pink and black tile. Ooh La La. I don't like the board and batten idea. Too "farmhouse" of a look for an obviously fifties bathroom. An idea for that up and down stripe idea - like the battens would look. Possibly stencil on a repeating black diamond shape on a plain gray background. But only if you are not trying to get away from the 50's look.
May look top heavy.
My in-laws had a built 1956 ranch with the Pink & Black motif in the bath. Board and batten would work, and (IMO) relieve the "power" of those tiles! I would go with gloss enamel paint, though, to continue the original idea.
Good Luck, and happy brainstorms!
Did you google it?

There are some really pretty pink and black bathrooms here. I wouldn't do board and batten. Too country for the tiles. There are tons of ideas for what to put over them in these photos.
I totally understand what you are saying but lots of those photos show more pink. I think that's a major part of my issue-I don't want more pink. that's what we have now-a pale pink on top with a black trim at the ceiling.
Would still like to know what board and batten is please. Thank you any Home Talker!! 🙂

Board and batten is simply wood paneling with thin raised verticals that separate the panels.

It is also made in Hardie board, which is waterproof.
thank you Joseph
No board. You could paint the black tiles white, add a soft pastel pink on the walls. And then add pops of dark rose, or green to accentuate your beautiful room. OR, add embossed wallpaper on the walls for a different texture. Just go for it and enjoy.
