Turning Your Home Into a Winter Wonderland#myfavoritethings

This year I decided to go with golds and silvers for all my Christmas decorations which meant all new ornaments would have to be purchased. For the last 3 years our tree has been done in burlap with a rustic feel. To help cut corners the silver greyish poinsettias used to be red velvet. To get the color I wanted, they were spray painted with a silver metallic spray paint. Most of the ornaments came from the 99 cent store, anything that glittered and was either gold or silver went in my basket. The ribbon was found at Michaels at 70%off and the mini pearl garland I had. Do you remember my gold and silver starburst? For the tree topper I used the gold one by carving a circle in the bottom of the Styrofoam ball big enough to fit on the top of the tree.
