I have no children but I feel being able to do my DIY/crafts is an empowering thing. I grew up with a dad who was a carpenter and thought that females should know how to do basic skills in carpentry, plumbing and electrical, as well as car basics. Never having married I am so glad because any home I've lived at needed upkeep and knowledge of painting, and all the above have saved me $$$ over my 68 years. Of course at times a pro needed called, but I am so thankful for the DIY skills. And I have done so many crafts that give me great pleasure that sometimes incorporated them as well. So, thanks Dad and thank your kids!
Wow they sounds like great kids!
the best!
