Heat from the oven has discolored my oven door. How can I fix this?

I've tried various cleaners, ammonia, Mr. Clean sponge, bleach, Comet. Nothing seems to work. Is there anything to get the top of the oven door white again. It looks awful! Thanks!

You can try Zud or Barkeepers friend . Make a paste with water and apply with a cloth. Leave on long enough to aid in the removal of the stains.

I have both of those, and didn't think to try either. Thank you, I'll try these right away. Appreciate your suggestions!

Well I sure hope it works because I have started using the "new" oven in this house we just bought, and already the heat has discolored the top of the oven door. It feels like plastic of some sort. We have 5 kenmore appliances, they must be lower end because they sure are made cheap. Waiting to hear your results.

They came with the house, owners bought appliances well over a year or so ago, but not much baking evidently. I have seen this on refrig handles and microwave handles. Something abut the plastic they are using nowadays. Everything is so cheaply made. But the prices are not!!! These people also bought a new washer, He...efficient..i hate it. when i can i will find a used older one. I get lint build up on the clothes because there is not enough water to move things around. There is a post on HT about the discolored handles on refrig's etc. But yes, i may have to talk to Sears about this, but ..since we didn't buy the appliances, what is the recourse? nada.
