Ugh! Help me with our master bath!

Our mirror is huge and the wood cabnets are in good shape but I'm sooo tired of brown. Oh... The other side of the curtain is not the tub. It's a sliding glass window that will soon be filled in with a bath window on top. It's time to update! Thoughts? Ideas? Throw it at me but I'm more traditional country than modern chic. No argyle in my house. It's cute just not me.

This is an easy fix! Not sure what your budget is but for a low budget: paint the cabinets white or something lighter; replace the mirror with either two smaller ones or frame that builder grade mirror with wood trim (glue it one); paint the room; replace the light fixture; and it will be like a new room! Since you are already ditching the shower curtain, I won't even mention it! Lol Here's an example of something that you could do easily!

There are many bathroom re-dos on Hometalk. Search this one to start. https://www.hometalk.com/categories/makeovers/bathroom/cabinets

I don't know what's behind those high doors, but cant' you get them off to display the shelfs? Or just the upper part. It looks so 'full"... For the colours, something light : beige, white or those beautifull colours suggested by Cindy.

I agree, a quick paint will give you a whole new look- and you can use chalkpaint so that you need not prime or sand!

I agree....easy fix! I love the photos that Cindy posted, something similar would work well. My only additional suggestion would be if you replace the mirror with something smaller I would cap the back splash with one of the new beautiful caps they have on the market. See the difference between photos 1 and 2. I wouldn't replace what's there, just add a cap to it to give it a more finished look.
