I have made stained glass panels for people to put where wall air conditioners
had been taken out!
Most mobile homes have textured paneling on the walls (not regular Sheetrock). The choices are to either Sheetrock the whole wall so the texture will be the same, or fill it in with Sheetrock (as in the video above) and have the texture not match. In my opinion, if it's a spot where a picture or wall hanging would look nice, I'd do option 2. If not, I'd Sheetrock the whole wall. A third option might be to do a different decorative panel over either just one section of the wall or the entire thing (such as stone panels, barn wood, or beadboard). This would depend on the location of the spot and whether it would look nice or weird in that area. Good luck deciding!
