There is a product called Goof Off which is available at Staples, Office Depot, Office Max and other office supply stores. Home Depot might even carry it. We used Goof Office for the very problem you have when I worked many years ago (retired now). Try it.
Try Goo Gone or WD40.
I've also had success with goof off, good luck! Keep us posted
Citrus oil works well on sticky left over areas on wood. It also is great for the wood.
buff the entire top of the cabinet...(just like you did when you were washing off the sticky stuff.... then ever so slightly w a very fine sand paper.... and I mean ever so slightly, hardly touching it at all, do the whole top WITH the grain of the wood, then buff WELL with wood polish. I've done this on both wood and kitchen counter tops. worked well. remember HARDLY TOUCHING THE SURFACE W THE SAND PAPER!)
you are welcome... just remember LIGHT TOUCH ON THE SAND PAPER. ALMOST A WHISPER!
Noooooo. She is trying to restore the finish. The glue is no longer on there! Some of this advice will ruin the furniture.
