Not a problem, but not an easy DIY project. Call in a couple professionals and get some estimates.
If you want the same effect but a lot less work, would you consider installing a shower over your tub? Then there are a lot of tub-seat-insert options like this one that can give you a similar effect -
Yes I have seen the tub shower also the shower pan with a built-in seats however after pricing these items especially by Kohler there $700 plus the nice thing is that they will go in and you can tile around them not really sure at this point if we want to incur that much expense but I'm actually considering just having the tub reglazed i'm also sourcing vendors for this at this time thanks for the advice remember when I truly appreciate it and if there's any other feedback I would certainly appreciate it just as a note I was at Lowe's this morning and found Sterling has one that is made out of fiberglass but the ones that Kohler mags are an acrylic so they're going to be a little more durable
We took a fiberglass tub out of our last house and replaced with a shower. We had professionals do the walls and base. My husband did the plumbing and we kept the drain in the same location ie at one one as opposed to moving it to the middle. Good luck with your project.
Yes we had every intention of keeping the drain in the same place and after talking to a professional tile and tub requires her he had some interesting points most of the work we will be able to do ourselves we were just concerned about The drainage issue if we did remove the tub
Yes I know and I've gotten several quotes already and it's 500+ with only a four to a five year warranty for that kind of money I could basically just put a different tab in or just eliminate it altogether with a good drain pan
My rentors, couple with five childre, 3 of them teenagers, replaced a tub with large sho Wr er with ledge seats on two walls. Cut the water bill 28%
Since I pay the water bill, I'm thinking of doing in the second unit as I rehab it.
I was wondering if you possibly had any before and after photos we are still contemplating which way we would like to go with us thank you very much for the information
