I noticed a keyboard in the photo so there must be a musician around. What about putting up a floating, swirling, abstract line of music across that wall u and then decorate around it.

The first thing that came to mind was a piano...and don't ask cause I have no idea. LOL! LOL! So, I googled, "piano wall décor." Found hundreds of ideas from country to classic , modern to contemporary. Take a look and see if there is something you love.
I went to that site and I liked so many of them. Anything piano would be great!
You could pick up old instruments at yard sales and thrift shops to hang on wall. Frame sheets of music.
Wall murals - with a music theme. There are a couple of good websites you can check out. Just google "wall murals".
