My New Year's Tablescape needed to have lots of sparkle. And what better way to add sparkle than using things with a metallic finish? And mirrors, lots and lots of mirrors! And I needed a way to say 'Midnight'.
New Year Tablescape. Lots of metallic touches, crystal, silver & mirrors. And let's not forget the clocks. ;-)
I started with a silver tablecloth. It's actually silver metallic dance fabric that I found at Walmart!
Then I added plain gold chargers.
I added silver trays that I found in the wedding section of the Dollar Tree.
I wanted a plate with a clock that said midnight, but I didn’t have one, so I went online & found a clock face clip art, enlarged it to 4″ wide & printed out 4 of them. I cut the clock face out & put it in the center of the silver tray. Then I added clear plates on top of the clock face.
I used a white napkin trimmed in gold and silver & gold napkin rings. I love the way the white of the napkins reflects on the tablecloth.
Centerpiece..I started with a 12″ square mirror, then added crystal candle holders. I added a small mirrored disco ball to the tallest candle holder & silver glitter ornaments to the other ones. I used small mirrors as scatter, silver tea light holders with white tea lights.
I added small crystal clocks, each one had the battery removed & the hands set to midnight.
And the New Year’s Tablescape was finished! I added a small vignette to the corner to extend the New Year message.
New Year’s Vignette: a black top hat, and in a crystal vase just behind the hat, I added black & silver beaded sprays, silver holographic glittered sprays & silver glittered curly Ting Ting.
A view of the tablescape from the top.
The New Year's Tablescape with the candles lit. Happy New Year everyone!
