Grandmaquilts on Dec 28, 2013Years ago, I had a client who owned a laundry-mat. He used a scrubby-sponge dipped in Downey to clean the hard water spots off his equipment. Try it, at least it won't hurt your granite or your hands.Helpful Reply

Sherrie on Dec 29, 2013Never use vinegar, Toilet bowl cleaner, lemon anything acidic. Use a pumice powder. Better yet read the cleaning guidelines. Also never use home made cleaning ideas. Granite is a porous stone, It can last forever if taken care of right. I am linking the marble Institute of America cleaning guidelines on stone. Please read this before you decide to pour toilet bowl cleaner on such a expensive surface. http://www.marble-institute.com/stoneprofessionals/commercial_care_clean.pdfHelpful Reply

KrysFL on Feb 20, 2015Buy food grade citric acid from amazon.com. mix 2 tbs in a spray bottle with water. Spray and let sit 2 minutes. It will literally wipe right off and will not damage granite or the polished finish/sealer. This also works amazingly on glass shower doors and any tile.Helpful Reply

TMulhern on Feb 24, 2015You can buff the hard water stains from the surface by using steel wool. Alternately you can also use a fresh razor blade to scrap of the hard water stains. It is very important that you wear gloves when you are using grade steel wool.Helpful Reply
