You can use lavender around your house, moths hate lavender, it will keep em out!
I keep little bags of cloves or lavender in my drawers. Works for me!
i keep citronella plantsi n my house. initially, i got them to keep misquitos away, but it works on the moths and fruit flies.
If you have tiny little moths it could be from old grain products, cereal, or any kind of similar product. I think we have all seen flour with tiny creatures all of a sudden appearing in the container if we haven't used it very often. You may have Pantry Moths . Go through your cupboards and throw away any opened products or outdated products. There are moth traps on the market that are pesticide free and trap the male moth with the smell of female pheromones embedded in the sticky paper. No males, no little ones. Bad up the opened packages and throw it in the trash outside to make sure they don't escape..
We were troubled by tiny bugs in the kitchen. Tried the sticky pheromone traps but whatever the bugs were they were not attracted to this bait. I did a deep clean on the kitchen but we still saw bugs. They were mostly crawling on the inside and outside of the cabinets. Then we started examining the many spice containers. We found some unopened chile powder in a jar. Looking closely, there they were! The jar was so full of them they had run out of room and were migrating out. It was pure luck that we saw them because that jar looked exactly like just chile powder! In fact, I could easily have sprinkled it on whatever I was cooking! So, LOOK CLOSELY at your spices. These were very small (1/8") dark insects... they could fly a short distance but mostly crawled.
