The design of the Electro Sun dehydrator doesn't allow for forcing air for drying. It uses a heater in the base with adjustable vanes on the bottom and top. Moving air across the heater would just cool it and the air flowing up the trays. By the way, it is made by RONCO!

Don"t know. It doesn't say on unit. Just looked on ebay and found one like it. Got manual onliine. It takes long time to dry foods and some of them went bad whi8le drying. So I ordered a Cooks companion one with fan. Will maybe just use it for some simple drying or sell to someone who wants it.
