How can I make this plant fuller?

I have some dandies that my husband made back in the 80's. He started when he needed something besides drinks at the bar when his work took him far from home for weeks at a time. I even have a glass table which is suspended by macramé. I just couldn't part with them because they were handmade by him! Everything old is new again! I knew they'd come back!
