Okay, here's my idea. I am assuming you are hanging your pots on hooks. Why not attact chip clips and clip them up? Kind of like using clothes pins for notes. Well, maybe not chip clips cuz they are not going to last forever, but I bet Lowes and HD have some pretty heavy duty clips of some sort.
I hung my clients pot lids next to stove, using a wire towel holder fastened to wall with anchors.
