You can blow-dry the bit thatch left to melt it and spill it out into the trash ( or into another container if you want to repurpose the wax) good luck!

Run very hot water, as hot as your sink will produce. While it is heating up, use a fork or spoon to crack apart the rest of the candle residue and scoop it or dump it out. Then run the candle jar under the hot water in your sink and let it stay in the flow for several minutes. Finally, add a grease-cutting detergent, like Dawn, and wash it out with a sponge or bottle brush. If you still think there may be some chemical or wwax residue remaining, run it through your dishwasher, if you have one, or simply wash it again. Viola! dry it and use it for anything from a candy dish to another candle.
Stick it n the freezer and then it will pop right out.
Freezer does the trick
I've placed mine in the coolest part of the fridge and left it there for a day or two. Then when you try to take out the wax it should be easier. There will be some wax left that you can scrub off dry then wash it with sponge.
Put the glass into the freezer...it will pop out cleanly.
Yes the freezer method works. But next time before adding your candle to the holder, put a little water in first. After it melts and you want it out, it will pop right out.
I put mine in the freezer for few hrs or overnight and thr residue just pops out. Sometimes a case knife around the inside.
I boil water and then pour it into the candle. The wax floats to the top after a bit! I wait until the water cools down then dry it. I go back in with rubbing alcohol to clean it thoroughly and run in through the dishwasher.
We've been successful using flathead screw drivers! Excited to try the other methods!
I also use the freezer method. Some of my glass is fragile and I'm afraid of using boiling water. Also sometimes the item won't hold water because of the design in the glass. Freezer works every time. if you have wax on a goid table cloth or other linens, put a paper towel over it and use a iron on a low setting. The iron melts the wax amd the paper towel absorbs it!
put it in the freezer!
