Do I have to remove vinyl tile before adding a new layer?

I have two layers of vinyl tile on my kitchen floor. would it be wise to add a third layer, or should I remove the first two before installing the third one?

I think it would be in your best interest to remove the other layers.
I agree with Janet- I think you should remove the other layers. You could end up with an unwanted uneven floor .
I am not an expert in this area but I would most certainly remove the lower layers as this will likely affect the finish of the new tiles. You can always get an expert in for a "free quote" on the work to gain their opinion.
