Is it better to roll or spray stucco and block while painting a house.

Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Apr 16, 2011Hi Bill, Both actually. You should spray the paint onto the house, and then use a roller to smooth and even it out. This is known as "backrolling." It helps to have a friend who can backroll along behind you as you run the sprayer in front of them.Helpful Reply

John H on Apr 16, 2011Hi Bill, It all depends on the conditions. Spraying a house is much faster. Most will "backroll" while spraying. Spraying also offers a smoother finish on gutters, soffits and fascia. Do not spray if you have never received training. I always spray if i can. Keep in mind of any "over-spray". The wind and inexperience can get costly.Helpful Reply

Holden Handymen Inc on Apr 16, 2011Look at http://Facebook.com/holdenhandymen . There is a picture of a house that was painted over 10 years ago. And still looks great. Why ? We always backroll the body/walls of our houses to make sure the paint goes on thick enough and becomes a protective part of the house and not just a thin layer for the looks.Helpful Reply
